Hangout Music Festival 2017

Hangout, Be Social | Hangout Music Fest 2017 Recap

June 5, 2017

Since I went to my first festival (Helloooo Austin City Limits) in 2015, I’ve been 3 for 3 in going to music festivals each year. I’m so in love with the vibe of music festivals. It’s so lovely to be surrounded by people who just want to listen to music and have a good time.Read More

Cozy Songs to Listen to this Fall

Cozy Songs to Listen to This Fall

September 27, 2016

My favorite season is finally here! It’s time for cooler weather (that’ll come later for us Louisianians), fall TV, pumpkin-flavored everything and living the cozy life. I’m particularly excited to don my scarves and wear the crap out of my boots and sweaters. The beginning of fall always gives me a cozy vibe. I haveRead More

Summer Concert - Maddie and Tae and Joe Nichols

Summer Concert with Maddie & Tae and Joe Nichols

August 29, 2016

I’m squeezing in the last bits of summer and spending as much time as possible before I leave Shreveport to work on a boat for six months. My love affair with live music isn’t something that’s a secret around this here blog, and neither is my favorite price: FREE! I combined both of these lovesRead More

Country Ladies Playlist

Country Ladies Playlist | Tune In Tuesday

July 19, 2016

Considering how often I share country songs on my blog and the fact that most of my go-to songs for karaoke are country, you would think that I’ve been listening to country music my entire life. Even though I moved around for the majority of my life due to being an Air Force brat, theRead More

Guilty Pleasure Playlist

My Guilty Pleasure Playlist | Tune In Tuesday

July 12, 2016

I use the phrase “guilty pleasure” loosely, because to be honest, I have no shame admitting that I love these songs (obviously, because if I did I definitely wouldn’t be sharing the list publicly online). The songs on my guilty pleasure playlist have a plethora of reasons for being there. Some are extremely inappropriate. SomeRead More

International Kissing Day | Tune In Tuesday

July 5, 2016

I love kissing. Not in a “I go around kissing all the boys” way, but more in that I like connecting with people in this physical way. One of top two Love Languages is ‘Physical Touch’ so I’m all about hand-holding, giving hugs, pats on the back for a job well done, shoulders to cryRead More

What I've Been Listening To

What I’ve Been Listening To | Tune In Tuesday

June 28, 2016

I enjoy listening to music that matches my mood, so if look at all of my song choices below, you can probably tell that I’ve been going through a lot of ups and downs emotionally lately. I’m happy to say it’s been more positive than negative though, and a lot of that has to doRead More

Next week, he'll have been in our lives for two whole years which is so crazy to think about. This little chunkster was such a light during a difficult time after Kyle and I moved to Ohio. I felt such a connection when I saw his little face at @hsgreaterdayton, and he makes me smile everyday with his big, sassy, carefree attitude.

I'm so excited to celebrate with a big treat from @petco and a 3-day weekend. Happy birthday, little guy 🐾

Cozy vibes = πŸ’― I feel like I should say I was Cozy vibes = πŸ’―

I feel like I should say I was robbed of the first year of my thirties, but honestly age 30 was pretty incredible. I got engaged, moved to a new city, adopted another dog, started focusing on my physical health, made some new friends, and passed the dang edTPA. Yes, I was definitely challenged mentally A LOT, but I'm grateful for the experiences year 30 gave to me, and I'm excited for what year 31 will bring.

To celebrate today, you can find me in this @taylorswift cardigan from now until I turn 100.
So thankful for my little bubble here in Nebraska! So thankful for my little bubble here in Nebraska! I had so much fun celebrating my birthday with ugly Christmas sweaters, karaoke, sushi, and these sweet friends. I can't believe I'll be 31 in just two days! πŸŽ€πŸŽ…πŸ½πŸ£

3) Kyle and I dropped off 100 bags to Lydia House to help women and children suffering from homelessness! Thank you to everyone who donated! πŸ›
