Motivated Mondays: Flaws Are Okay.

April 7, 2014

In case I didn’t already love Lorde enough, she tweeted this photo of herself recently: It quickly went viral, and for good reason! Not many people who are in the spotlight are willing to outright point their flaws out to you, especially when they have a team of make-up artists and photoshoppers who can eraseRead More

Motivated Mondays: 10 Reasons to Smile.

March 24, 2014

Some days, it’s easier to just mope around when you’re sad or let anger take over you after something awful happens. It takes a strong person to push those feelings aside and try to turn negative situations into positive ones or just forget about the situation altogether and think of positive things. If you’re havingRead More

Motivated Mondays: 5 Little Grins

March 10, 2014

Oh hey. New blog layout. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below! For today’s Motivated Mondays post, I’m excited to link up with one of my March sponsors, Raewyn from Be a Warrior Queen. Every Monday, she and two other bloggers created the “5 Little Grins” link-up to help remind usRead More

Motivated Mondays: How Will Others Tell Your Story?

February 17, 2014

What’s the first thing you think of after reading the following quote? {via} Taylor Swift. Am I right? Okay, maybe that was just me, but really, when I saw this quote, I was inspired. So much truth behind it. Lots of things happen to us throughout our lives, and for the most part, all weRead More

Motivated Mondays: Don’t Be a Love Hater.

February 10, 2014

{pic} Nowadays, I feel like people glorify the single life. It’s all about being single and having your freedom and not having to answer to anyone. That’s all fine and dandy, but there’s no reason to judge other people who are happily in love. There are so many people today who are so cynical aboutRead More

Motivated Monday: You’re right where you’re supposed to be.

February 3, 2014

{pic} I’m guilty of comparing myself to other people. I think most people are. It’s just a part of life. Sometimes, I’ll get on Facebook and look at what people my age are doing with their lives, and I envy them for moving out of Louisiana or getting to travel to exotic places or landingRead More

forever young

Motivated Mondays: I want to be forever young.

January 27, 2014

{pic} {via} In my head, I’m still 17. I know it’s weird, because most people are always racing to grow up, and then when they grow up, they reminisce about the “good ole days” and wish that they were young again. I was one of those people that wanted to be 21 just so IRead More

Next week, he'll have been in our lives for two whole years which is so crazy to think about. This little chunkster was such a light during a difficult time after Kyle and I moved to Ohio. I felt such a connection when I saw his little face at @hsgreaterdayton, and he makes me smile everyday with his big, sassy, carefree attitude.

I'm so excited to celebrate with a big treat from @petco and a 3-day weekend. Happy birthday, little guy 🐾

Cozy vibes = πŸ’― I feel like I should say I was Cozy vibes = πŸ’―

I feel like I should say I was robbed of the first year of my thirties, but honestly age 30 was pretty incredible. I got engaged, moved to a new city, adopted another dog, started focusing on my physical health, made some new friends, and passed the dang edTPA. Yes, I was definitely challenged mentally A LOT, but I'm grateful for the experiences year 30 gave to me, and I'm excited for what year 31 will bring.

To celebrate today, you can find me in this @taylorswift cardigan from now until I turn 100.
So thankful for my little bubble here in Nebraska! So thankful for my little bubble here in Nebraska! I had so much fun celebrating my birthday with ugly Christmas sweaters, karaoke, sushi, and these sweet friends. I can't believe I'll be 31 in just two days! πŸŽ€πŸŽ…πŸ½πŸ£
