Help raise money for local nonprofits on Give for Good Day in Shreveport, Louisiana.
I’m a big believer in that if you have the means to give back, you should. Whether you give back by donating time, items or money, it’s so important to help those that may not have the means to help themselves. Not everyone starts out on the same playing field. Some people are dealt an unfortunate hand, and sometimes all they need is one small act of kindness to get back on their feet.
In Shreveport, Louisiana, May 1st is Give for Good Day, and it’s a day when the community comes together to give back. No matter what cause or charity you’re passionate about, this is your opportunity to show how generous Shreveport/Bossier City is by participating in Give for Good. If you’re interested in learning more about how you can highlight the generosity of north Louisiana, check out these events happening on May 1st:

What are some of your favorite charitable organizations?
Even though I grew up in many cities around the world, I’ve been calling Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana home since 2006. When people visit the city, they’re often underwhelmed by the amount of things to do, but as the third largest city in Louisiana, there’s a lot more to the area than meets the eye. In my series, Shreveport Sunday, I’m excited to share some of my favorite things about living (and eating) in Shreveport/Bossier City.
