I’m one of those people that likes to have background noise when I’m doing anything, so lately, instead of reaching for Spotify, I’ve been turning on Netflix. Between trying to cook more meals at home, packing and purging for my new job and doing a lot of things on the computer at work, I’ve been watching way too much TV. #norAgrets
My TV watching is about to get worse now that it’s fall again. All of my favorite TV shows are coming back, plus I’ve found a few new ones to love. Here’s what I’ll be tuning into this season:
THIS IS US: SEASON 1
As soon as I saw Milo Ventimiglia tweet about this, I knew I had to watch it. The preview alone already had me obsessed with the show, and after watching the pilot episode and learning how all of these stories intertwine, I was instantly hooked. This show has already torn at my heartstrings, and I’m looking forward to many laughs and tears while watching the rest of the season. This is Us premiered on NBC on September 20.
THE GOOD PLACE: SEASON 1
Kristen Bell is easily one of my favorite people. Beyond being extremely talented, hilarious and starring in one of my favorite shows (Veronica Mars), she also has a huge heart and advocates for equality. She’s someone I can both laugh with and look up to. Of course, when I found out she was going to be starring in a new show, it was instantly a priority for me to watch. I saw the first two episodes without even knowing what it was going to be about, and I laughed through both of them. I’m looking forward to the chaos that is sure to ensue during this first season. The Good Place premiered on NBC on September 19.
SCREAM QUEENS: SEASON 2
The first season of this show was hilarious, albeit insane. I honestly wasn’t sure if they were going to be able to make another season out of it since they revealed who the killers were, but I’m glad they did. I’m curious to see where the show is headed. Scream Queens premiered on FOX on September 20.
JANE THE VIRGIN: SEASON 3
I fell in love with this show this summer and binge-watched the first two seasons in less than two weeks. The shows literally makes me laugh out loud, but it also stresses me out with all of the crazy drama. The season two finale left us with the worst cliffhanger, and I’ve been desperate to know what’s going to happen. Jane the Virgin premieres on The CW on October 17.
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER: SEASON 3
Admittedly, I still need to finish the second half of season two before I start season three, but I’m definitely looking forward to all the drama and craziness that’s sure to come. HTGAWM premiered on ABC on September 22.
THE FLASH: SEASON 3
I’ll be binge-watching season two of this show as soon as it becomes available on Netflix. After that, I plan on staying up-to-date with this latest season. I loved the first season, and I’ve been eager to find out what happens in the next. The Flash premiers on The CW on October 4.
NEW GIRL: SEASON 6
I already watched the season three premiere of New Girl, and it was lovely as always. Jessica Day is literally my spirit animal, and I just adore the heck out of her. The first episode left me a little heartbroken and also happy. I hope the writers make Jess’s journey a good one this season. New Girl premiered on FOX on September 20.
ONCE UPON A TIME: SEASON 6
I just finished watching season five, and admittedly I’m disappointed (*spoiler alert*) that they’re bringing the Evil Queen back as the villain. There are so many characters and stories that they could have explored, and I just want Regina to finally get her chance at a semi-normal, mostly happy existence. Also, apparently Aladdin is making an appearance. Yaaaas! OUAT premiered on ABC on September 25.
SUPERNATURAL SEASON 12
Twelve seasons strong! As y’all know, Supernatural is one of my favorite shows, and I’m so excited for season twelve, at least I will be as soon as I finish watching the rest of season eleven. Sadly, I got rid of cable and moved out, so I wasn’t able to watch the second half of the season. As soon as it hits Netflix, I’ll be binge-watching so I can get up-to-date with the latest happenings. Supernatural premieres on The CW on October 13.
