I have to be honest about something really quick: My financial struggle has been so real this year. I’ve written about how my life has been full of ups and downs when it came to my emotional struggles, but I haven’t shared much about the things that have been burdening me financially. Something positive that’s come out of this is that I’ve been able to look at my priorities and cut out many unnecessary expenses, including cable.
Admittedly, I thought that getting rid of cable and DVR was going to be tough, but it’s actually been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I’m still able to use the internet for the laundry list of shows that I want to keep up with. Even though I’m not able to watch it live with most of the die-hard fans, I can still watch my favorite TV shows online.
NBC is a favorite channel of mine because I love the diversity of the shows that they produce. Whether you’re interested in watching people battle it out with their dancing or singing skills, seeing people solve mysteries or fight crime, watching celebrities in sketches or on talk shows or seeing someone’s wild imagination come to life on screen, NBC is likely to have a show for you to fall in love with.
Hereos Reborn was one of the shows I was most looking forward to tuning into this season. Like much of the world, I was (still am) a huge fan of Heroes. The idea of ordinary people having extraordinary talents beyond one’s imagination is just something that I loved. When the show ended abruptly several years ago, I, like most fans of Heroes, was completely devastated. Then after hearing rumors of a mini-series spin-off, the nerd inside of me was way too excited.
Even though I don’t have cable or DVR anymore, I’m still able to enjoy new episodes of Heroes Reborn on my computer with NBC TVEverywhere. It’s so perfect for this time of year if you’re traveling to visit family or going out of town on business because you can catch up on full episodes of your favorite TV shows online from the comfort of your hotel or guest room. Even if you’re not traveling, and you just hate the cold like me, you can use NBC TVE as your excuse to stay in bed and binge watch all of your fall shows.
