I had a pretty busy weekend filled with lots of writing (and other random things like reading – just finished The Maze Runner – and picking up trash, catching up on TV shows, playing with my puppy, the usual), and I was just feeling so inspired. This past week, we had an important visitor from corporate come visit the hotel, and at lunch, we went around the table and talked a little bit about what we like to do. I said that I have a blog and that I really like to write and hope to publish a book someday.
I don’t even know why I said those things. No one in the room had any idea that I blogged or that I wanted to write a book. This was the first time that I mentioned my blog to my superiors, and I was relieved when they didn’t judge me. They were actually impressed, and my direct boss even complimented my writing (I take minutes at meetings, and even though it’s a completely different style of writing, it was nice to get complimented on something I enjoy doing).
Talking about my blog and writing a book just really motivated and inspired me to really start focusing on writing my book. I went to the library and got three books filled with awesome book writing tips.
While planning and doing some outlines for my book, I listened to my “inspired.” playlist on Spotify, and I wanted to share some of my favorite songs that really inspired to keep doing what I love.
