Merry Christmas everyone!
I was having the hardest time trying to figure out what I wanted to write for Christmas. This is the first time I’ve done Blogmas, and it’s been intimidating writing and publishing a blog post every day this month. During this time of year, I usually slow down blogging because I have so much on my plate. This is such a crazy time of year, but in a good way.
This year, I’m traveling up north to meet my boyfriend’s family and spend Christmas with them. Oh holy intimidation! Talk about overwhelming. I went back and forth between stressing out about worrying if they’re going to like me and about the weather because homegirl doesn’t do so great in the cold. Before leaving, he told me about the possibility of a white Christmas. I’m sorry, what? I spent last Christmas on the beach, but I digress.
Instead of stressing about a Christmas blog post, I wanted to go old school and do a classic Q&A sesh. I’d love to know some of your answers to these questions too!
If you could take a Christmas trip, where would you want to go?
I’ve always wanted to travel to Australia, and I love spending Christmases on the beach, so I wouldn’t mind spending Christmas there. Plus our winter is their summer, so I know it’ll be a nice and toasty time to be visiting.
What is your favorite Christmas movie?
The Holiday! This is actually one of my favorite movies period. I watch it year-round. I don’t even need it to be Christmas.
If you could add anything to the Christmas menu, what would it be?
Crawfish! Crawfish is my absolute favorite food, and I always get so bummed when the season ends. I would love to have some crawfish for Christmas dinner. Christmas crawfish boil, anyone?
What is your favorite Christmas food?
Pie. Seriously. Pie is my favorite part of all meals, and I think it should be included in more meals because pie is the greatest dessert ever. That is all.
What is your favorite Christmas carol?
This is honestly such a tough question. There are so many good ones. I can’t even pick one, but here’s my Christmas playlist!
If it’s for myself personally, I would have all of my debt be magically be paid off. Yaaaas, please.
What is your favorite kind of Christmas cookie?
Snickerdoodle. I feel like Snickerdoodle cookies are so disrespected. They’re honestly the best, and no one talks about them. They do make more appearances during Christmastime though.
Share a family Christmas tradition.
I actually don’t have any family traditions because between being an Air Force brat, having divorced parents and working on a cruise ship, I’ve spent Christmases in so many different places. I do remember one Christmas where my family did a Secret Santa gift exchange on Christmas Eve. That was supposed to be the only gift we opened, but then my step-mom got really excited so we ended up opening all of our Christmas gifts at midnight. I think opening gifts at midnight would be a fun Christmas tradition.
Have you ever had a real Christmas tree?
No, but I would really like one! I always thought it’d be so fun to be able to pick out your own tree and have the fresh smell of pine in your house all season long. I low-key get tree envy watching YouTubers pick out their Christmas trees in their vlogs.
I hope all of you have the merriest of Christmases!
What are you doing for Christmas this year?
