It feels like I’ve been waiting so long for spring to get here, and I’m so happy it’s finally arrived. Even though I hate the rain, bugs and pollen that come along with spring, I do enjoy the sunshine, florals and warmer weather. I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it a million times, when it comes to my spring wardrobe, I have pretty much two basics: rompers and shorts (preferably high-waisted shorts), but while I love updating my wardrobe for spring, the act of going out and shopping can stress me out sometimes. I have to be in the right mood to shop, and I’ve always been one of those people who likes to spend their money on travel, food and experiences (and wine) rather than spend it on clothes. That’s why I love a good bargain.
If you’re a bargain hunger like me, you’ll fall in love with thredUp. It’s like shopping at dozens of consignment stores at once. thredUp features clothes, bags, accessories, etc. that are all of like-new quality. Even if you have a favorite brand, all you have to do is type that brand in the search bar, and thredUp will show you everything they have for sale for that particular brand. You can even browse items that are only available in your size. I couldn’t resist adding a few items to my own spring wardrobe.
Side note: I had every intention of going out and taking some pretty pictures in the sunshine in front of murals and other sites around the city, but the rain had other plans, so I settled for posing in front of my vlogging wall. Also, I’m obviously not a fashion blogger, and I’m so awkward in front of the camera, so there’s that.
I fell in love with this romper as soon as I saw it. It’s navy with white palm trees, and it reminded me of my home in Charleston, South Carolina. I also love that it’s sleeveless and collared. The fabric is light, so I’ll probably be wearing it through the summer too. This precious romper was originally from Forever 21 only cost $7.99.
I was so excited to add this romper to my wardrobe too. It’s a little bit of a thicker material, so on cooler nights, it’d be great to pair with a light jacket. This romper was actually brand new with tags. It was originally $22.99, and it was on sale on thredUp for just $10.49.
As soon as I saw these floral shorts, they immediately went in my cart. Don’t they just scream spring? These shorts were also from Forever 21 and only cost $5.49.
With music festival season coming up, I bought this bag in the hopes that it would motivate me to find a festival to go to. I’m in love with the fringe, and it’s bigger than the other backpack I currently have. This bag was originally from H&M and only cost $16.49.
Overall, I bought two rompers, two pairs of shorts, a backpack and a pair of lace-up booties, and it only cost me a little over $60. I mean, come on. You really can’t beat that. Except I’m about to. I know you’re probably a little overwhelmed with savings, but if you click here and use the code HRF21 at check-out, you can save 21% on your first order. I know, I know. It seems too good to be true, but I promise it’s not.
Did I mention that the box they send your order in is adorable and polka-dotted? It’s the little things. If you follow my vlog series, Everyday Bliss, this week’s video features me doing an unboxing of my first thredUp order. Be on the lookout for that on Monday!
