2016 has been the year where I’ve felt like I’m winning. Read about how I’m owning 2016.

I’m not gonna lie, y’all – 2016 has been pretty dang awesome. And it’s only February. I ended 2015 with the mindset that 2016 was going to be exponentially better, and so far, I haven’t been disappointed. It’s amazing how changing your mindset, surrounding yourself with people who challenge and uplift you and just believing in yourself can make such a huge difference.
So how am I winning this year?
I WON A LIFE COACHING SESSION
I don’t win many giveaways, but I was super pumped when I learned that I won a Passion Planner and a life coaching session from Blush. I had my session a few weeks ago, and it was so enlightening. My only complaint is that it was way too short. It was only thirty minutes long, sadly. I’d love to have another session or even take advantage of the journal option. My coach helped me gain perspective, and she read my facial expressions when I was talking about certain things – noting when my face lit up and when it read apprehension. I love the advice she gave, and I’m eager to start applying some of the tips she gave.
I’VE MET SOME AMAZING PEOPLE
As I mentioned above, welcoming people into your life who want the best for you, challenge you and make you feel good about yourself can seriously be life-changing. I’m so lucky to have met some incredible people within the past couple months who have brought so much happiness into my life.
I LEARNED TO ARM KNIT
This was one of my 2016 goals that was pretty excited to do. I managed to arm knit a scarf, and I gave it as one of the gifts for my Secret Santa at work. I want to make so many more because they’re just so quick and easy to make.
I MADE A BLOG PLANNER
Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I’m pretty dang proud of this accomplishment. Not only is my planner adorable, it’s also been so helpful with blogging. You probably can’t tell because my blog schedule has been a little all over the place, but it’s helped keep me motivated and inspired to plan several posts for the future.
I FILED MY TAXES
I always feel a sense of relief after getting this done. Bleh.
I’VE BEEN EATING A LOT LESS FAST FOOD
I live about 60 seconds from McDonald’s. This is pretty dangerous considering my favorite thing on their menu is a hot and spicy chicken sandwich (plain). Last year, I bought one too many meals at several fast food restaurants. So far, I’ve only had one meal from McDonald’s and a couple other fast food meals. Other than that, I’ve been doing pretty well. *pats self on back*
I’VE SMILED AND LAUGHED A LOT MORE
Okay, so this can’t technically be measured, but comparatively, I have a feeling that this is true. I’ve been so much happier this year. I’ve been smiling lots more. I’ve been having way too much fun, and I’ve honestly just been loving life. I’m super excited to see what other amazing things happen this year!
